Evening Entertainment on Dahab Holidays

Tourists having been on the beach all day or exploring Egypt's famous monuments want to relax in the evening and yet still be provided with entertainment. For those on Dahab holidays the choice of things to do when the sun goes down is tremendous. As well as the usual Sports bars, a lot of the hotels provide dinner with a cabaret. There are casinos which also provide food and varied entertainment. Various operators operate sightseeing tours, like visiting an Egyptian bazaar at night and there are many restaurants offering authentic Egypt cuisine. There are also many nightclubs, catering for every taste.

There's very little alcohol in Dahab although you can get over priced beer in restaurants and bars. You can buy alcohol in special shops called 'Drinkies'. There is one at Azzahla market place. The nightclub Mojito is popular especially for those who like Latin music. Many come here to practise their salsa and merengue. There is different music on other nights of the week and also a comedy night. The nightclub specialises in mojitos and capirinhas, expensive but very drinkable. Westerners tend to hang out at the Furry Cup in the Blue Beach Hotel, where they can listen to the sounds of U2 and Coldplay. It's probably one of the only places in Dahab, where you're able to buy authentic Western liquor. Rush Dahab advertises itself as the 'hottest party place' in Dahab. They organise Full Moon Beach Parties once a month on Nuweiba Beach, so go along and make your own mind up.

People on Luxor holidays might agonise that there isn't much to do in the evenings. After all, Luxor isn't known for its nightlife. However there are quite a few things happening. As well as an organised night-time stroll through an Egyptian bazaar, many of the big hotels like the Sheraton and the Etap have discos until the early hours. One popular night-time excursion is to Fellah's Tent. Costing 40-45 GBP, a minibus picks you up from your hotel and you are driven to the Movenpick resort on Crocodile Island. Here you are given traditional Egyptian clothes to wear and to keep. You are then taken by motor boat down the Nile just as the sun is setting and disembark at Fellah's Tent. You will then be entertained by whirling dervishes, snake charmers, musicians and belly dancers. As well as the entertainment, a full Egyptian buffet is also included. The evening starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 9.30 p.m., when you will be driven back to your hotel. The evening can be booked via your travel rep or from Jolley's Travel Agent by the Winter Palace.

Tourists on Nabq Bay holidays are spoilt for choice when it comes to evening entertainment. The Beach Parties on Terrazinna Beach, near the Iberotel Palace are very popular. The party starts at sunset and there is a DJ on the beach and amazing fire shows happen every Tuesday and Friday nights. One of the biggest casinos in the Middle East is in nearby Sharm. Renowned for their fabulous entrees, they also provide evening entertainment; a varied programme from jazz concerts to belly dancing displays. The Casinos open at 6 p.m and stay open until 6 a.m. The 'Bus Stop' nightclub is well known. Attached to the Sanafir Hotel, it hosts dance parties every Thursday nights when guests dance in the hotel courtyard to the latest dance anthems. There are a number of Sports bars in the resort, the most popular being Biancos, Tavern and the Camel Bar.
